HERE WE GO AGAIN

Five years after the 2020 “Summer of Love,” people with no conscience or morality have started up once more. The so-called “peaceful protests” over George Floyd’s death were anything but peaceful. They were violent mobs ruining lives and cities. And, here we go again. Protesters are lighting L.A. on fire this time against I.C.E. deportations.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is doing its job to keep Americans safe. Praise God for the wisdom and guidance He gave President Trump. When the governor and mayor stood idly by, our President brought law and order with the National Guard and Marines.
Any rational mind knows when a person’s first act of entering a new country is breaking the law, they are criminals who must be deported. But L.A. has chosen to protect criminals to the detriment of its legal citizens.
The Communist/Marxist NGO’s whose goal is to destroy America have funded and backed Antifa. Antifa’s website plans and organizes the protests, pays the protestors, and they’ve spread the anarchy to Texas, Illinois, Washington, New York, and Pittsburgh, PA, where even the city’s mayor is protesting.
INSANITY rules this planet!
Why? Because Satan is alive and well, deceiving and causing chaos. But where is the church? I’m not talking about the building, I’m talking about true born-again believers in Jesus Christ, whose main mission is to go and make disciples by giving the gospel, baptizing, and teaching. Yet our second mission of standing strong and fighting the enemy who attacks civility and everything good is needed to accomplish the first.[1]
Church, we “…are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” Out of love, God set us apart from all others, that we “…may proclaim the praises of Him who called [us] out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Once we were not His people, but now, through the blood of Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, we, unworthy sinners, have obtained mercy.[2]
Israel was a kingdom of priests. But the church, made up of Jews and Gentiles, are kings and priests.[3] The Spirit of the Living God indwells, making us His royal children and heirs of the King of kings.[4] It’s our duty to fight like warrior kings and worship like true priests. But are we?
Protesters are in complete and utter spiritual darkness. They know nothing of God, and they despise Him like the corrupt priests in Malachi. To them, the LORD of hosts said, “A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My reverence?”[5]
With the words to Malachi, I could feel the LORD’s anguish. It was as though He was asking me the questions. I thought of congregations that have succumbed to the evil one and compromised God’s Holy Word. These give no honor or reverence to the Almighty when they raise the gay pride flag or preach CRT and social justice. They do not know the LORD at all. And this makes them a social club with a “form of godliness” but no power.[6]
In our upside-down world, it takes a mighty warrior to stop the onslaught of deception and change the hard hearts of those who perpetrate violence and proclaim good as evil and evil as good.[7] So, church, since Jesus died for them, too, are we suited up to fight? Or are we hiding, staying all cozy in our protective armor, hoping the violence will stop soon and go away?
If so, snap out of it! Repent and give God the honor and reverence He is due. Utilize your armor and wield your Weapon, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
His Word is the only Way to advance the Kingdom in this age. With it, we pull down strongholds in hearts and over cities. We cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and we bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.[8]
But in the midst of violent riots, it’s suicide and casting our pearls before swine to go and preach on a street corner. So, notice, the pulling down of strongholds is not physical. It’s spiritual.
Consequently, and for this moment:
We fight the battle in PRAYER.
